TrueNorth Companies has announced it will become the new Title Sponsor of the Four Oaks Golf Classic in 2020. TrueNorth has been a long-standing supporter of Four Oaks and the Golf Classic.
“Our company has deep ties to the community and we are dedicated to helping children and families in need,” said Duane Smith, CEO, TrueNorth. “We hope to build on the success Lil’ Drug Store Products has had as we take the hand-off for the Classic.”
TrueNorth has supported the Four Oaks Golf Classic since 1995, including as the Champion Sponsor since 2017. During that time, the Four Oaks Golf Classic has raised more than $3.2 million dollars for youth and family programming.
“TrueNorth has been our partner in many ways and we are appreciative they will help guide this Classic in the future,” said Anne Gruenewald, President and CEO, Four Oaks.
Lil’ Drug Store Products helped raise $1.6 million over the last ten years, which contributed to hundreds of children who received services.
“We know TrueNorth will keep the momentum going and support at-risk kids all over our community,” said Chris DeWolf of Lil’ Drug Store. “We wish them the best, as they take the leadership for this tournament.”
The next Four Oaks Golf Classic is scheduled for June 8, 2020 at the Cedar Rapids Country Club.
All proceeds from the Golf Classic support the Four Oaks programming, which addresses challenges including mental health care, poverty and inadequate housing. Four Oaks, headquartered in Cedar Rapids, is one of the state’s largest child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health agencies. For more information, visit fouroaks.org.
