Holiday Project

Dec. 4 & 7, 2020 | Four Oaks Smith Center

At Four Oaks, we serve many youth and families during the holiday season. To ensure that they have a truly meaningful and pleasant holiday, we need your help.

YOU can make a child’s holiday wishes come true!

Whether healing from abuse or neglect, coping with a mental illness or working toward reuniting with family, the holiday season can be especially difficult for our children. You can help them experience a holiday full of joy, warmth and laughter by supporting the Holiday Project.

The children have each made a “wish list” of toys, games and other items they would most like to receive. Once gifts are collected and purchased, each Four Oaks facility will host a holiday party for the kids so they can open their gifts in a festive atmosphere.

Drop off dates are Friday, Dec. 4 and Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. To learn more or sign up for the Holiday Project, please contact Mickey Miller at mmiller@fouroaks.org or 319-784-2253.

Ways to make a difference

Host a holiday giving tree

Showcase a holiday giving tree with gift tags for employees or customers to retrieve. We will provide you the information for the tags, including the child’s age, gender and wish list. Our goal is to be able to provide two gifts to each child; in total, the suggested amount is not to exceed $50 per child.

Provide gifts for children

A great way to enhance your holiday experience is to commit to any number of our kids and fulfill their holiday wish lists. No donation is too small.

Make a monetary donation

Monetary donations or gift cards are always welcome. Four Oaks elves will utilize them to ensure that the children’s wishes are fulfilled.
